SUMMARY:ASAM General Assembly & Technical Seminar 2026
DESCRIPTION:Mar 17\, 2026 – ASAM General Assembly (members only) \nMar 18\, 2026 – ASAM Technical Seminar (members and non-members) \n  \nASAM General Assembly\nThe ASAM General Assembly is non only ASAM’s highest decision body. The ASAM Board of Directors and the ASAM office report about their activities on a strategic and business level. We invite all ASAM members to meet the ASAM Board of Directors\, the ASAM team\, and your peers and discuss with us the ASAM strategy\, share ideas and concerns\, and become an active part of the organization.   Agenda \n  \nElection of the ASAM Technical Steering Committee (term 2026 – 2028) \nIn 2026\, the ASAM membership will elect a new Technical Steering Committee. The TSC decides on and controls all development projects at ASAM\, primarily the development of standards. The main goal of the TSC is to ensure that the ASAM’s Standard portfolio meets market needs and stays competitive. \n  \nIf you are interested in shaping the future of ASAM standards\, then you are the right person for this job. Read more about the tasks of the TSC \nTo run for office\, please fill out the application form below and send it to marius.dupuis(at)asam.net by Feb 24\, 2026. \n  \nApplication form \n  \n\n  \nASAM Technical Seminar\nThe Technical Seminar is a great opportunity to take a deep dive into the world of ASAM standards: we will present process-related initiatives\, dive into activities around Simulation quality\, share insights on how our standards are being applied and discuss topics such as ASAM standards in AI tools. Key initiatives with some of our partner organizations will round up the day. \n  \nJoin us and get first-hand updates on ASAM’s key initiatives\, and contribute actively to discussions on our positioning in the fields of SDV\, AI\, and open-source. The seminar is an excellent occasion to exchange ideas\, bring in new perspectives\, and help shape the future of ASAM standards.

SUMMARY:ASAM TSC Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The ASAM Technical Steering Committee will meet online \non:  Jan 26\, 2026 \nat:  Online \n  \nThe ASAM Technical Steering Committee (TSC) decides about and controls all development projects at ASAM\, primarily the development of standards. It evaluates and votes on proposals for the development or enhancement of standards\, monitors the progress of ongoing projects\, reviews and releases new or revised standards. \n  \nThis time\, the TSC will decide on the following release: \nP_2024_07 ASAM CMP extension for data sending (read more) \n  \nIf you would like to bring in a proposal for standardization\, please contact support(at)asam.net. Deadline for fully elaborated proposals is Jan 12\, 2026.

SUMMARY:Bits\, Bites & Insights at CES 2026
DESCRIPTION:Bits\, Bites & Insights\non: Jan 07\, 2026 | 11:00 am PST \nat: CES 2026 | LVCC\, West Hall and Diamond Lot\, booth #3161 (Deepen AI) \n  \nASAM and Deepen AI invite you to “Bits\, bites & Insights” at CES 2026. \n  \nGet a first look at three key ASAM initiatives: ASAM OpenX for Offroad\, ASAM SOVD\, and ASAM DMS/VOMS. We’ll kick off with short presentations of each project\, followed by open discussions where your insights and questions drive the conversation. \n  \nJoin us for drinks\, snacks\, and informal table discussions – this is where the conversation happens! \n  \nREGISTER \n  \n  \nTopics we will talk about:\nASAM OpenX in offroad applications \nASAM OpenX standards are widely used for validating ADAS and AD functions in on-road vehicles. However\, automation is rapidly advancing in off-road sectors like construction\, agriculture\, and mining. These domains introduce challenges far beyond classical road scenarios\, including deformable terrain\, varying soil types\, dynamic obstacles\, and complex material-handling tasks. \nASAM conducted a concept project to investigate offroad requirements\, covering terrain modeling\, sensor robustness in harsh conditions\, multi-vehicle coordination\, and the creation of high-fidelity digital twins from point cloud data. We’ll share the findings of this project and outline where current ASAM OpenX standards need to be extended to enable more accurate\, scalable\, and interoperable simulations for the next generation of autonomous offroad machines.\n  \nASAM SOVD – data access to SDVs \nDesigned for Diagnostics – built for more! ASAM SOVD goes beyond traditional Diagnostics: it enables OTA updates\, standardized access to in-vehicle Measurement data\, and service-oriented interaction with passenger\, commercial\, agricultural\, and any other type of vehicles. \nAs vehicles evolve more and more into IoT devices\, the demand to efficiently diagnose both ECUs and HPCs grows. ASAM SOVD meets this need while simultaneously supporting additional functionalities like OTA software updates\, fleet management\, predictive maintenance\, remote monitoring\, and secure software lifecycle management. It integrates seamlessly with existing protocols (e.g.\, UDS) and uses modern web technologies (REST\, JSON) for fast\, flexible\, and scalable access. Join us and learn how ASAM SOVD enables access to vehicle data. \n  \nASAM DMS / VOMS \nDriver Monitoring Systems (DMS) help prevent accidents caused by driver fatigue\, distraction\, or other forms of impaired driving. ASAM’s standardization project aims to define a technology-agnostic\, language-independent API and a machine-readable QA Data Model for Vehicle Occupant Monitoring Systems (VOMS). \nThe upcoming Standard will enable efficient toolchain integration\, system interoperability\, consistent testing\, and innovation. It will provide a common framework to accelerate development\, improve safety\, and make high-quality driver monitoring solutions widely accessible. Join us and find out what you can expect.
